Something about the current driving conditions in the LA area.
Everyone on the road seems intent on driving too fast or driving too slow, and a rash of people not looking before pulling out. There may not be as many cars on the road but no one has the road to themselves although in California they seem to drive like it.

I find the LA drivers quit friendly. I don't go down there very often but as I have Oregon plates and driving slower and more carefully than most LA drivers I find that they often honk and signal that they think I'm number 1. Who sez California drivers aren't friendly?

I was out today, on I-95, a major route to everything here. I have never seen it this empty, but the driving was absolutely atrocious, and very high rates of speed like you mentioned were "normal"....kind of scary!

I avoid I-95 like the plague .

@GEGR there is actually no choice around hereif you want to get over either the Thames or the Connecticut Riiver...well, okay, you could go almost 20 miles north (one-way)to get over them.......

They are not use to having room to actually drive. They are used to driving at speeds barely above being in park.

Similar situation up here in the Bay area
