I accidentally killed my fish that I’ve had for over 2.5 years. I can’t stop crying. I feel like the worst human on Earth. RIP Kehlani.

@1EarthLovingGal Hugs. The fact that you're grieving shows that it was an accident, and that you had bonded. That puts you in the category of "Loving person but sh-t still happens". I'd save "worst human" for those who hurt and kill without compassion, and intentionally, and without any real connection to the victim. Love yourself.

I bet you’d given Kehlani a better two plus years than most… I’d accidentally killed a thousand wild catfish, pond pets we’d feed daily. I wondered if life was worth living.. It is ~

So sorry you have to deal with this

I have fish too. One time they got ich and I couldn't treat fast enough and save my 3 clown loaches. It is an awful feeling. Everytime a fish is dying I feel awful and I think of never getting a fish again. Eventually you heal and find another one to love.
Don't beat yourself. Cry and grieve, but accidents happen, and sometimes situations happen and you can't fix it.

Accidents happen sweetheart I am sure this was not a malicious act on your part you don't seem the sort to do that sort of thing. If you were you wouldn't feel bad about it...

So sorry, what kind was she? I've done that before, feels terrible, but you are far from the worst human on earth.

I accidentally killed a fish when I was around 11. It was absolutely traumatizing. 😔

Oh no! I know how attached we can get to the ones that live a long time! I am so sorry!

@1EarthLovingGal Me, too! It’s both painful as well as wonderful.
