Could Barack Obama serve as Vice-President legally? Does anyone think this is an awesome idea sure to irritate Trump?

I think a more interesting role Obama could play is as a Supreme Court justice. As far as I know, he wouldn't be ineligible for that.

I think the wording of the 12th amendment is ambiguous enough to make this unconstitutional. Because it says “no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States,” it isn't specific enough to be limited to election or otherwise. Is it "to attain" or "to be" or "to be elected?" I would say it covers everything, in all cases, but the most logical implication is "to attain," which would prohibit a former president from being elected vice-president as well.

But not the spouse...

I’ve already said I’d like Michelle Obama to be his VP. I can’t see her ever getting into politics, but that would be the sure-fire ticket to dethrone King Orange Julius.

I'm not sure which would drive Trump crazier, Michelle Obama or Hillary Clinton. 😛

It would certainly send Trump into paroxysms of inane tweeting.

Maybe even have a breakdown and combust?

@sassygirl3869 with luck.

Speaking of Tweeting ..

I'm willing to entertain the idea. It would help us go in the right direction.
