I haven't had much reason to wear a mask since I haven't been going anywhere but work. Today on my way home from work I stopped at the grocery store and put a mask on while I shopped. It's so warm under there, I couldn't help but think it's probably not a good idea to have onions for lunch if you have to wear your mask.
I do hope everyone is holding up ok.

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.Most folks around here are doing pretty good at the distance and mask bit, but I've had to run in to a city where they worship at the alter of trump, and I was just about the only one with a mask on an ffg the multitudes of people coughing their brains out , without covering their mouths, as usual., and these aren't the usual spring allergy coughs, these are nasty respiratory infection coughc.Had me scary to death, . It's obvious that the infected figures are heavily under reported.

You’ve pretty well described my locals, but when heading into the nearest city - they’re suited up!
@Varn imagine a southern city, filled almost completely with ultra evangelicals. I like to call it the city that hate built. It was built almost entirely from people bailing out of Little Rock in the 60s and 70s so their lilly white kids wouldn't go to school with black kids, and their progeny carry the same attitudes. Those people will never not be in church 3 times a week and the majority are still ruminating trump and think it's all a democratic hoax. That town scares me on a good day, during this bug, the ignorance is overwhelming.

Other than most families in my rural region going back a couple hundred years, thus assuming their attitude should prevail forever.. it’s prettymuch the same mentality - just spread further apart, with smaller as opposed to larger churches 
My wife and I are lucky enough to both live in the middle of nowhere(the woods) and to be retired. So life is going on pretty much as usual around here in the Ocala National forest. Spending a lot of time hiking and swimming in the lake. Just thankful we have it so good when so many are severely inconvenienced.
We don't have any masks yet but we do use a bandana to cover our faces if we have to interact with anyone from outside our small circle of locals. I will be happy when this is all over and we can get back to something resembling normal.

Suited up for my first shopping adventure in over a month, a couple days ago. Goggles, N95 mask, and surgical gloves. Found ‘Easter Sunday Morning’ was an excellent time to finally hit the store! Maybe ten vehicles in their lot, open isles … as the manager waved me & my loaded cart into his ‘speed register.’
We talked.. Felt I was about to be offered a job … after telling him I’d worked grocery years ago. Said I’ve watched folks coming out with just one bag… He called them ‘habitual shoppers,’ and began grumbling over their ignorance under his mask. He was cool, and I felt sorry for him.
Just learned on NPR - refrigeration, including freezing - ‘preserves the virus like it does your food!’ So, it breaks down slower when it’s colder - and survives even longer if frozen!

You'll make a mistake to wear gloves. Rather have them spray your hands entering and leaving the shop like they do in SA. There's also wipes when you enter and leave the shop for your trolley, your wallet etc
See demonstration on this video by a nurse why gloves is not such a good idea.
Wipe your goods at home before packing it away.

@TimeOutForMe You of course need to treat gloves as if they’re contaminated. I do, and carefully peel them off before touching car keys, phone or anything beyond the shopping experience. Then alcohol gel in the vehicle. The only good thing about gloves is they peel off. I’ll wash them while on, too. Folks unfamiliar with such protocol will be in trouble, with or without ‘protection.’
Actually, I feel goggles, not simply ‘safety glasses,’ are critical in closer proximity. Eye infiltration of floating particles must be a major source of contamination. And as I’m learning, you can actually touch your face less, after giving it serious thought.. This remains a serious societal learning experience

I'm doing ok Roy. Lonely though.

@Wildflower spent all day in my bathrobe and nothing else yesterday..it was a why bother kinda day..today actually went out food shopping..so a good day..
@Charlene I'm fortunate to still be working, but weekends... forget it! very depressing.
@Wildflower I drag out my house cleaning and laundry..just to have Something to do..lol
And definitely don't wear it after you eat tuna fish.
