I've been on both sides of Washington State during this and the differance between how the high density areas and low density areas are quarantining is night and day. There was more traffic in West Richland last time I went to the store than there was in downtown Seattle 2 weeks ago, for example. Our little county has seen a real nice uptick in diagnosis and deaths for a week straight now and led the state in % increase. I felt safer in Everett (1st reported case in the U.S. was treated 8 blocks from the house there) than I do here, population 11,000.

As is usual, people are fine when it's folks they don't know who are dying.

We are not done yet, the numbers will still go up until we do testing and realize where we are in this.

After reviewing the map, I wonder if the caliber of the health facility is the variable.

I disagree and there are plenty of statistics to back me up. All you have to do is look at the cases per million in large cities and you’ll see that cities are where the worst problem is. In my state I can click on urban counties and note a higher rate than in rural counties. On the national level I can check cases per million in states where there are large cities and their rates are consistently higher.

Those six states don’t need to quarantine at this point, and they may never need to quarantine.

And then there’s that problem of lack of hospitals. Note that South Dakota has 4.8 hospital beds per thousand residents, the highest among states. Mississippi has 4.0. New York has only 2.7, California only 1.8.

Whatever the advantages of city life, healthfulness is not one of them.

Those six states are going to be the reason we have to do this for another month.

@MissKathleen I don't think I can take another month of this. I have tickets to WWE house show (non televised wrestling show) I don't want it post phoned again or canceled. It's July now.

@Bierbasstard Thanks for the offer, but I would like to see my favorite wrestler of all time in action and to meet her. I have one of her action figures already and don't plan to take it out of the box. I'm hoping we can go back to normal start May 1st, the 15 by the latest.

@Bierbasstard Our Governor Pritsker is doing a good job as well. Your might be right about around Memorial Day. In case you are wondering, my favorite wrestler is Dana Brooke.

@freedom41 don’t worry, in Florida they ruled the WWE an essential service and the show must go on.

@Barnie2years yes i know. It's hard to meet my favorite wrestler with audience not allowed in. Plus i can't afford to fly down to Florida. I'm crossing my fingers that this clears up soon.
