Hi Everyone! I've been Zooming with local friends all day and got an idea. Why don't I set a Zoom Room up for Trivia Night and the Single/Mingle/Chatroom to we can connect to each other by face and voice during these trying Covid-19 times. What does everyone think?

I checked it out. The free plan would work for us, but sessions can only last for 40 minutes - then everybody would have to reconnect.
A subscription is $14.99 per month. That allows one person to host unlimited meetings.
There's no "per meeting" price.

That word 'free' . . . I don't think it means what you think (I advocate 'gratis' ) :
There may be a cost associated with multi-user zoom sessions. I will look into it.

ya Petter I'm going to do it. Jitsi has some cons. Difficult to set up. Zoom is easier-more user friendly.
@sassygirl3869 . . . hmm difficult how ? Click on the "Start a Call" button, click 'Go' to initiate a uniquely-generated URL, post the URL in your chatroom for others to join. How is that difficult ?

Considering all the issues Zoom has had with privacy, why not try something else ?
(gratis, open source/libre, end-to-end encrypted, works in browser -- no installation required)
