Has anyone else noticed a change in your dream pattern since the start of the pandemic?
I have noticed that mine are more vivid and memorable. Here's a really interesting article about how the current stress level is affecting our dreams.

The pattern of my dreams has not changed to any noticeable degree. My moderate levels of clinical stress have been ongoing for much longer than the current Covid-19 pandemic.

I'm impressed ! Same for me... I didn't know some other people felt it too. Since the isolation, I dream vivid action movie stories, where I'm strong and clever, even sexy dreams... It's coming to a point where it's so interesting that I sleep 12 hours a day !! I can access the life of my dreams there

Sounds like you have the best of both worlds 🙂

@TheoryNumber3 my day time life is not exciting at all at this period in history...but I'm blessed at night.

I have a theory that dreams are just your brain defragging.

Guess I’m not stressed.

My sleep pattern seems more disrupted, and I've been having stress dreams. One was my teeth starting to fall out, another time I had to save my daughter from something urgent but couldn't get out of the house to get to her. Par for the course, I guess.

I dream less songs and more jobs I never had....really last night the worst a woman seduced me put me to work in her grocery store then refused to kiss me again so I quit and woke up

I think you just dreamed a new hit sitcom 🙂

Ooh! I want to have dreams in which I seduce men and then put them to work! What fun!

@TheoryNumber3 probably because I finally watched the gawd Facebook account show.....the main character is a false stereotype Atheist with a preacher father and all the people he loves are religious maybe not xian but selling bible verses and his Atheist radio show.....pissed me off like all anti-Atheist propaganda shows....sweet lips kisses are like doses of dreams come true... being put to work selling limes eggplant unwashed celery and biting orange peels would wake anybody up from a sexy dream gone bad

@TheoryNumber3, @AmyTheBruce you deserve every fantasy overcoming the evils of patriarchy.... but Cleopatra found out the limits of sexual power over armies and sailors....besides most Egyptians worshipped her as the top Egyptian gawd

@TheoryNumber3 sitcoms are driven by advertisers not writers CBS sells religious lies sprinkled with scientific miracles pharmaceutical commercials the latest cell phones tech gadgets and financial planners..... anything to make viewers forget Bill Cosby OJ SIMPSON rental car commercials or Harvey Weinstein movie trailers..... Frida Kahlo was a great Atheist Feminist artist overcoming a childhood bus crash injury and Weinstein forced Salma Hayak into a lesbian love scene just to stare into her crotch with cameras and dozens of crew.....sex is sold everywhere laughing where babies come from and shattering personal sovereignty of who really owns our bodies .....money or privacy

@Larry68Feminist You got a little off track there, Larry. You sure you're responding to my post?

@TheoryNumber3 yea tv sitcoms piss me off ...3rd Rock from the Sun was alright ...... M.A.S.H. was laugh track medical drama .... Archie Bunker was a hoot COMEDY CENTRAL cable Satellite was often hilarious....thank you for the 5 star rating but dreams are iseful healing mechanisms of the mind and that seductive grocery lady hurt my feelings ....remember MARRIED W CHILDREN poor Al Bundy was always hurt and insulted biting his lip selling shoes supporting teen criminals and a sexpot wife

@TheoryNumber3 HotLipS Deli & Groceries....NEVER OUT OF TOILET PAPER

I am NOT STRESSED!! I am NOT! Yes, you are. HEY! I'M NOT!!!!!

I seem to be dreaming more often than usual but they are frequently sex dreams...

Lucky you!

Do tell! 😁

I did, too, @Cutiebeauty, when I was pregnant. Do you think it's related to that, or the isolation?

@Lauren I think it's because I'm pregnant because I'm not lacking in the sex department.. Frankie's self isolated at home with me 😊😋

@Cutiebeauty Good for you guys! I'm sure that helps relieve quite a bit of stress. 🙂

@Lauren stress? I relieve stress through exercise.... 😊 and sex.. Oh wait.. That's the same thing 😍

One of the medications I take has me on a weird dream cycle for the past two years. I have no stress in my life, but I often wake up more tired than when I went to sleep.

Nope. Nothing has changed - still a vivid split second of remembering my dreams, before they evaporate in the morning's light.

Sometimes I wish I could remember them! But no - they slip through my fingers, even as I try to hold them tight.

Write them down bedside with pencil so ink won't run out and dream you are writing it all down so the transition to pencil & paper is swift

@AmyTheBruce @Larry68Feminist Dreams do evaporate within seconds. I used to write them down as Larry suggested. They made perfect sense at the time, but when you read them later they're totally bizarre!

@TheoryNumber3 Einstein talked about mastering his dreams .....I agree turning to dream notes is like poetry from another planet or a computer without soul attempting composition..... it is the energy of dialogue in dreams which bounces us back off pillows into wakefulness..... the discipline of searching dream memories in recurring dreams that builds our skills to dream intentionally.... mine is empathy music snippets like movie soundtracks carrying mood or plot data to complete a story scene by scene.... nightmares are fear on fire escaping hell into war rape oppression crimes and feared thoughts like Atheism

Another clue to dream management is taking naps at any hour window day light soft house lights motion activated bright lights when body movements conclude RAPID EYE MOVEMENTS .....our eyes are searching scanning our brain memories of scenes we saw or see instantly in current dreaming

Nope. I remember maybe 1 or 2 dreams a year, tops.

I haven’t noticed it in dreams, but my sleep pattern is definitely off. ...shouldn’t say.. but for unknown reasons as of late, I’ve found myself tearing up. Last week, for no discernible reason.. Random thoughts, concerns ..missing my parents & children. Worry, I’m sure, perhaps reasonable, but troubling, and sad. Glad those around here (generally) cheer me up ~

Varn Level 8 Apr 27, 2020

That's understandable. I think we're all feeling a little sad, scared, nervous, stressed. There's an awful lot of stuff coming at us along with a huge lifestyle change.

I agree with @TheoryNumber3, @Varn, and I think it's particularly hard for people who are isolating by themselves. As much a technology helps, it's not the same thing as actually touching those we love. Or even touching anyone. Being here helps me, too.
