It keeps us dependent on fossil fuels and probably won't be able to solve the climate crisis.

This film is very pessimistic and gloomy. I think they expose many problems but come to the wrong conclusion. They assume that the only way for humanity to continue into the future is for the population to be reduced drastically and for humans to go back to less convenient lifestyle with less dependency on energy. They left out the nuclear option which I believe is the way to go as we move forward.

@RoboGraham I agree. Nuclear energy is the only clean way to continue to power the grid. The environmental movement has tried to curtail nuclear energy production with their political correctness. The overpopulation of the planet is a problem that isn't being widely addressed and the film does so. The Catholic Church among other religious entities are greatly responsible for uncontrolled overpopulation. The film didn't dare go there. This film does address atheism though. Unfortunately I think the film comes to the correct conclusion.

We certainly should do something about over population. This constant increase can only continue for so long before we strain our planet to the breaking point. It's a very tricky issue because regulating reproduction is a massive violation of freedom. I think it will need to be done voluntarily. It seems that it's happening already in the 1st world. We and other developed nations are willingly reducing our birthrates.

It's really depressing that virtually none of our leaders are supporting the best green energy source. There is a massive stigma related to nuclear because of it's association with the destruction of cities and the Chernobyl disaster. The thing that people don't realize though is that Nuclear is by far the safest option and the cleanest. And there is more good news, we already have large amounts of enriched uranium on hand, all we need to do is take it out of the war heads and put it into the power plants.

Because of the overpopulation of the planet, which for religious and other reasons isn't being addressed, the human race is doomed. People don't want to conserve, they want to look for easy answers to continue wasteful and self indulgent lifestyle.
