Great land use, however if they planted using permaculture philosophy, there would be little need for maintenance. If they haven’t budgeted for maintenance, it will not take long before the garden gets overrun with weeds.

Great article. All cities need to do this. Seattle has quite a lot of pea patches. Here in Ellensburg there are community garden areas.
