I'm a former school bus driver and I think that it's going to be a long time before they go back to work, whether it's transporting kids to school and home or even driving activity trips like sports teams, field trips, or charter trips with adult groups. No way you can social distance enough in a bus or sanitize them well and often enough. I think the school bus business may be dead for a while, same with charter bus companies and companies like Trailways and others that do cross country service.

@sassygirl3869 I've been in touch with some of my fellow drivers since March and they have all been out of the job. They agree with me about the future until there is a vaccine. They say that the kids who can't get to school without busing will probably just have to stay home, have the school provide them with a computer if necessary, and do distance learning at home next fall, assuming that in person classes resume then for K-12.
