It's easier to have a personal relationship with a cat than with a god.

That implies that you have had a personal relationship with God. Naturally, it’s far easier to have a relationship with a real, tangible animal than it is with an imaginary being, though I’ve been fond of the character Frodo Baggins since I read the LOTR.

@Gatovicolo Ooh! I had a personal relationship with God, not just any old god? And to think that I missed it. Oh, woe is me! πŸ˜‰

I prefer human babies!

I have one in addition to my two cats.

You probably shouldn't keep human babies as pets.

I prefer Apple Pie.

@Gatovicolo Are they all fixed?

@Charles1971 fatherhood does have its perks.

How do you like them? Fried, boiled, roasted or raw? (Sorry for my revolting sense of humour.)

Dogs are followers.

B.S. I have both but definitely prefer dogs. I only have a cat because it moved in and I felt an obligation to have it neutered. To do that I had to make it my friend.

The cat is demanding and destructive. He is a fantastic hunter. I've cleaned up so much blood from his prey, I could get a job as a crime scene cleaner. The vet says he has feline leukemia so I have decided to keep him as comfortable as possible for the next whatever. I usually regret that decision daily.

My cats are very sweet. My daughters cat follows her around like a dog.

I prefer dogs. I don't like cats.

Cat racist.

True. I also don't think cats should be allowed to vote, marry dogs, or eat in the same restaurants as I do. πŸ˜€

I can only speak for myself. I prefer cats.

Show me the p value for the data. 1.4 vs 2 might not be significantly different, statistically.

Also, drawing a conclusion that the reason is because athiests either need more social connection (churchgoers already have one) or need something to serve/worship is quite a leap. πŸ™„
