They have no clue what they are getting into. No clue at all.

Personally I think holding companies that do no enact strict editorial control on each and every word that is shared on their sites is an asinine and pointless task. As pointless as holding building owners liable for graffiti on their walls. Sure some egregious items may be removed more quickly than other, but just because they remove any does not mean they are suddenly in editorial control over all graffiti and should be liable for it.

What should be required is the companies publish, transparently, what standards or algorithms they use to remove content. Nothing more than that. And bias, it is just a fact of life - letting outlets like Fox being openly biased just because technically they are liable for folks who come on their show and say shit - does that serve any good? The reality is few people have any ability to sue anyone - adding liability to a publishing platform really only serves the rich and powerful with an agenda. It increases bias not decreases it.

Ultimately I don't do Facebook anyway, I wish my friends and relatives to realize if they want to tell me something just frickin' email it to me. And if you want an open happly slappy slanderfest with no holds barred and community standards enforced by the community - whatever that means - go to Reddit and have at it. WFM!
