I wouldn't say he was justified, but I also think (since they cram you in like cattle) that you should limit how much you recline. What say you all?

She had the right to recline but it was not kind. We all need to be more kind. Personally I think the seats shouldn't recline, any of them.

I no longer need to fly; will go by train.

Passengers have rights of this kind; airline companies do not.

And the flight was How long? So she is entitled to annoy others anytime she wants? How much is the fine for Assault & Battery, first offense? I need to know.....

2

I wish the airlines running shorter flights would prevent reclining at all. I’ve had the person in front of me spill food and drink on the tray all over me on two flights, slamming their seats back. Considerate behavior seems to have gone the way of the do do...

@altschmerz Most definitely. I do not recline if I can sit facing forward. Unfortunately, one person, possibly rows ahead, can recline forcing all behind to have to do so as well. My femurs won't fit behind the seat in front of me if that seat is reclined. I am hardly huge in height. I suspect MANY have similar issues.

It looks as if the guy has a wall behind him and is unable to recline. I would be pissed off and feeling claustrophobic if I was him. The airline is at fault for squeezing that back seat in.

Glad there was nothing more pressing in their lives to be concerned about

they can travel! which is more than we can do in our country. Tho frankly I'm happy to stay away from Victoria right now 😉

@MsDemeanour Don’t blame you. I’m in rural Vic and all is pretty sedate. Don’t fancy Melbourne though!

If the seats have the option and were designed to recline in this manner why the hell should this option not be allowed to be utilized .? when I go on a plane I expect the seat in front of me may fully recline and I accept it .

3

No matter which of these two one sides with, any outrage should be directed at the airlines for creating this problem.

They are both behaving like spoiled toddlers, instead of mature adults, what a pair of testicles

I agree with @Pralina1.

The only caveat I have is that the reclining seats are a relic from when we actually had leg room, something which has been gradually reduced over the past two decades, so the polite thing is to do is to keep them upright unless you have to. She didn't seem like she had to, she just felt entitled to, no matter how much it inconvenienced him.

Lauren Level 8 June 24, 2020

@altschmerz It is their fault - they need to change their design or, better still, give me enough room to put my legs in front of my seat instead of angled sideways!

Both idiots .
Her back problems sounds like a personal problem to me .

Beating up the seat of the person infront of u is for the birds .
U don’t have control of her actions , but u do have control of your reaction . It’s clear that these seats are made to recline . End of story . U accept it and swallow that , or u act like him and u become the latest drama queen .

This ^

If you know you don't like the feeling of being compressed - save up for a 1st class or business class ticket. Coach travel on airplanes these days is the equivalent of traveling thru other parts of the world on their "open air" trains.....only thing missing is her not having a live chicken tucked under her arm. heheheh

He acted like spoiled brat instead of using his words... I would've got up, smacked the hell outta him, and then disembarked the plane...

@altschmerz 😂 no. Unless i had a parachute! But I'd be content by smacking the hell outta him.. What do airlines do in such situations? I've never flown...

@Cutiebeauty planes do not have parachutes

Passengers in the front have reclined and I have not complained. One of the many no-reasons we often get stressed about. We have bigger things in life to give time to.
