I see you are from Utah. The Utrah (Mormon) culture teaches body shame. I was raised Mormon, but in Los Angeles. I got over it. Now I am a naturist/nudits, in part, because I think feeling shame about how you look is the real sin. Also a complete lack of cloting is physically more comfortable and feels mroe natueral.
Good for you!
It's not a sin over 60 either, but oh to be 45 again! Rock it while you have it.
I still wear bikinis to the beach. Can't stand to have a white belly in the summer! I find a sheltered nook where not too many people can see. I am more modest at swimming pools and beach party settings.
fabulous ? I still were them, I just got a new one a month a go.
Do you want a beach-ready body? You have a body, so go to the beach. No shame. Just pride.
@Ksha Well done! Yep there are a lot of insecure men out there who try the old coercive control on beautfiul confident women, who then turn into jibbering messes. I used to worry about such things when I was sixteen, but now I'm just extremely happy everything works! And unfortunately there are even some women who don't want to look at what they consider to be "fat, wrinkled bodies". We're all princesses, and we're all beautiful.
If you've got it, flaunt it. Most US women your age I've seen here in Thailand as tourists, I'd prefer they'd keep a long T-shirt on..
Nah. No body-shaming here. Even if you haven't got it, flaunt it. Nobody tells a woman what looks good. Especially not another woman.
@GoldenDoll Even so, I don't want to look at all the fat, wrinkled bodies I see almost naked tourist bodies-men or women- on the beaches here in Thailand. If someone has a good figure, it's better, but since I've some to Thailand, I no longer wear skimpy clothing, copying the Thai customs, and now I wonder why Caucasians expose their skins to dangerous sun rays. I always wear sun shirts and hats when swimming in the ocean.
@birdingnut Well you're free to wonder why they do it, just as they are free to do it.
@GoldenDoll Gracious..I only stated my own preference for not looking at disgusting almost naked bodies. You can look all you want, but I don't want to. I never once said they didn't have a right to be gross, but that I preferred they'd wear long T-shirts. Plus, it would protect them from sunburn.
@birdingnut - But they're not disgusting - that's my point. They're just different to yours. And as for telling people what to wear, well, that way lies the taliban.
Congratulations... you just reminded me of my first Speedo in Crete.
@Ksha I was in Crete two years ago . Does that count ? ( Leering).
