Why should ANY religious wedding ceremony be recognised in law, but not Humanist weddings? On the grounds that this is discrimination, six couples are taking a landmark challenge to the High Court next week in a bid to get legal recognition for humanist weddings in England and Wales.

Ironically, judges are expected to apply the law reasonably and fairly.

I have a friend locally who is a Humanist celebrant, IOW he can do weddings. I am registered with my state that I can "officiate" weddings, but with Covid it is not something I'm advertising.
