That is just a childish blanket answer disallowing all the errors, contradictions, and outright lies that believers spew as fact.

In that, we know they are wrong.

Blanket question?

@girlwithsmiles @girlwithsmiles "Has it ever occurred to you that you might be wrong?" About what? Which god? Which religion?

There is no evidence for any god for anyone to be correct or wrong. If there is a god, it has given us no reason to believe in it.

A god is not defined by reality or existence, believers make the assertion that it is, the god makes no assertion whether it exists or not, it is therefore the believer who must then prove the assertions they make.

This post I wrote may help:
"Imagine for a moment that the concept of god never existed, that no one had ever heard of such an ..."/

@nogod4me I thought that it was about the concept of faith, which most beliefs seem to be based on. But not surprisingly most people have faith in what their parents or culture have faith in. Apologies, it was supposed to be funny.
Your post doesn’t change my mind about the cartoon being amusing, but thanks for your take on theology.

@girlwithsmiles It is a cute cartoon, but it pushes the common misconception that religious belief is just as viable as reality and fact.

Excellent title. 100 million monkeys CAN be wrong.

I may be wrong, but if so, who is right ?

Believers? In fact as there’s no proof there is a God or gods the likelihood is that people believing in God/ gods are wrong 🙂 so discussion of such an entity is interesting, like talking about any works of fiction.

@girlwithsmiles Yes but which believers ? I tend to think that the china teapot followers are on to something, but then again there is something to be said for Pastafarinans but it has to be a tea pot not a collander or the juice would leak out. Then there Jedi.
Too many choices is no choice at all.

@Fernapple I’m quite intrigued by the Jedi, I believe that they have a large following in Aus. But any use of word Religion turns me off an idea. Guess it’s a hurdle.
