I had two previous Feminist Polygyny relationships before when I used to live in USA. My first 'throuple' experience lasted 5, and the second one for 3 years. Happiest years of my life. (In both instances my partners were non-religious)

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this as it is becoming increasingly popular for the past few years. I got the definition from a Facebook page. I believe it sums it up.

--- What is “Feminist Polygyny”? ----

It is true that polygyny is mostly practiced by religious circles of various religions. A Feminist Polygyny Triad relationship is a bit
different.

This type of polygyny is often practiced by Free-Thinkers and Non-Religious people. Polygyny has many different kinds, forms, and practices. Some forms include multiple, separate relationships as in sister-wives style. Some are open, and some are closed relationships. Most forms of polygyny have the perspective of one man, having multiple wives.

We protest that mindset, and look at it from a different perspective as a woman being able to have both a male and a female partner in her family unit.

We can say that a Feminist Polygyny is a form of a relationship where there are no multiple relationships, but only one, a single collaborate relationship between all three parties.

This type of polygyny is NOT androcentric(male-dominated). The Feminist Polygyny relationship requires a women-lead democracy in the family unit, which is combined with 3 'equal' individuals functioning under the majority rule concept.

Needless to say, this form of polygyny is best practiced by active bisexual women who favor polyfidelity, and by heterosexual men who do not need to boost their ego by constantly being the dominant figure in a family unit.

The major problem I have with polygyny is filling out taxes and insurance forms. You'd think a person with several spouses want to file jointly. As a general rule, people get more money back filing jointly. IRS follows the rule one spouse per marriage rule. Additionally the individual in the relationship would want all of the spouses to visit visit the ailing spouse in the ICU. Group visits are not allowed in the ICU. Who to pick? A single person generally gets a cut on their insurance when they get married, their credit level go up . . . polygny, the paper work becomes baffling.

@Radu In the ICU, the point with restricting visitors is to limit the possible contacts with the patient and thus limit the amount of diseases they can be exposed to.

Accountants aren't insurance specialists.

You didn't mention taxes.

I like the way you think.

@KinkyBourgeois One guy in Kenya recommended I buy farm land in his country. Once I had real estate, he advised I get a dozen or so pre-teen brides. In his part of the planet, it's entirely possible via arranged marriage. Sure, three sheep and a cow for the 11 year old. Do I get a discount for six teenagers? Maybe one of those 16 year old maids?

Hook them up to a plow and pay them in Barbie dolls.

>I still find the religious forms of polygyny very harmful for women.

For entirely different reasons, I didn't follow up on the advice. However, there have been times I've wondered how many acres would I need per arranged marriage.

I can see it now "I had a farm in Africa . . . "

@Radu There are a handful of countries in the Far East where underage hookers are common. If they're very young (about eight years old), they'll only have oral sex. HOWEVER, many of those countries the law against sex with underage girls while illegal isn't enforced.

Some places, i.e. Thailand, are known as hot spots for sexual tourism.

MAJOR DEAL: if it's reported back to US police you've indulging in sex that is illegal in the states abroad, you can be sent to jail. If you're going to do it, keep your yap shut about it.

Well, well, well, the happiest time of your life. I notice how it is talking about a man and several women or a man and two women. Nothing about one woman and several men. How come?

Aren't you the serious one? Lesbians just want have fun. 🥳

Ain't that always the way it goes? 🙄 Men love to talk about openness and lack of jealousy when multiple women are involved...not so when the topic shifts to multiple men. Of course, there are some exceptions. (I have met a grand total of ONE exception to this rule.)

@AmyTheBruce Im okay if she has multiple male partners, so long as I can have multiple fem partners. Its all about our SHARED happiness. Neither parties happiness is more important than the others.

I am strictly hetero, though. So theres that.

"I'd love to hear your thoughts on this as it is becoming increasingly popular"

You appear to be at the hip hop head of Feminist Polygyny's increasing popularity.

Given you are a doyenne of doin' it tri way I can only say good luck and wonder who wears the skirt.

You never mentioned love.

I've never seen such a thing first-hand, so I have no experience with it working or not working. Polygyny has a terrible history, so I'm turned off automatically - even though I understand that this isn't what you're describing.

But, hey, if it works for everyone involved.... congrats!

Best of luck with that. Love to see how that works out for you here.
