I do hope people are aware of this reality, but here's a map. Most Portlanders never have reason to even visit that small arena.

Unless you’re served with a federal jury summons, few go near the place. These are the actions of Anarchists, prettymuch.. And as much as I’ve defended my hometown’s right to be Weird, the fact remains, it’s become a catch-all for the nation’s misfits…

We’d had Anarchists there for decades, to me, those too lazy or incapable of working within the system to change it legally, too lazy or incapable of accumulating the goods of a relatively free nation, so willing to ‘chuck it all’ ..in hope of gathering a larger pile than they currently have.

Honestly, I’ve noticed the same behavior ‘around here’ with several persistent posters.. Can’t/ won’t work within the system, because it requires a skill set they lack, so constantly attack both those who can, along with organizations promoting stable change. Culturally spoiled - they want it yesterday! In the end, like Portland’s attention seeking misfits, AKA, Anarchists, do too 😕

Yeah, kind of like Oakland. And my friends in Portland tell me there's nothing going on except in that tiny spot. There's absolutely no reason for his secret police to be there unless Portland and Oregon ask him for help. There is no way he'd send in Federal troops to a Red State in this context.

Seems that Chump made a mountain out of a mole hill in trying to make America believe there are riots and terrorists in Portland. What deceit.

So I'm sure there's crime throughout the rest of Portland. Trump brought Martial Law to a few Square blocks, as you point out. Has that alleviated crime in Portland?

It does not say crime, it says protests, and the federal forces in question are not responding to crime.

@Fernapple I believe that was his point.

@Fernapple @tinkercreek was saying that this is all taking place in a small sector of Portland as if to diminish the gravity of the federal occupation. I brought up the point that this action has done nothing to help the city as a whole. It has however wrecked havoc on "that small arena"

@barjoe I see.

Crime was not the issue, so feds occupation was never intended to reduce crime throughout the city. The widespread issue of being unduly and unlawfully under siege from within our own supposed government, however, has brought about huge stress and an overwhelming climate of "what next, where next?". Well aware that we were Chump's 'test market' for martial law, there could have been other targeted actions with the forces nearby, just for Chump trying to prove a point.

@tinkercreek I fear this is a dry run to "secure" the polls for the upcoming election.
