I think this is a mistake. She's very polarizing to the moderates.

Black leaders told Biden, if he did not select a black female, he would lose the election.

We will know for sure soon. I liked Duckworth, but she is too Asian at the moment. She has a real solid record as a veteran. The Republican anti tRump Pac Vets against tRump were pushing for her. She, unlike tRump, fought to stay in the service after having her legs blown off. Trump couldn't go in for his imaginary bone spurs.

Duckworth was my idealistic choice too. Asians not gonna save Biden though.

I don't think it is Asian, although I am South Asian.
Being a soldier does not qualify you to be a VP or president - no matter what sacrifices. There are many many like her who do not speak and are not talked about. Presidency is about many things that Duckworth is not. Harris is proven for climbing political ladders, proving her sharpness in the Senate, heading important committees, being in the news, running for the highest office and doing very well counts for a lot more than being good at one thing. Duckworth is not a comparison to Harris. We should not confuse adoration for doing good in one thing and sympathy for being fit for the highest office of the land one day. Duckworth was not even in the top four contenders.

If done properly, the Democrats can keep the White House for at least for 12 years - 4 years of Biden (funeral in the WH) and 8 years of Harris.

Mind well, Biden has a chance at presidency, not a strong chance. We still don't know what Trump can and will do. He is pretty good at winning and catching us asleep at the wheel.
