Is it logically possible for someone to support Trump and the theocratic Republican agenda and still be loyal to the United States Constitution as it is currently written?

Are Theocrats & Trump supporters loyal citizens?

I wanted to revisit this post and get your thoughts now on the rationales by which someone could still support the Republicans and Trump and yet consider themselves loyal to the Constitution?

I find it strange that I see a pickup truck with the verses about "a well regulated militia" printed on the back glass when they think this also includes a rocket launcher and a machine gun.

I think there are a lot of us who should be purchasing everything they have.
I think we're going to need it.
Sooner than later, if one is reading the signs.

@KKGator you mean the consistent indications of a rwandan-style genocide perpetrated by the political right...

@domos Wouldn't reject that notion out of hand, that's for sure.
I don't think it's much of a stretch to accept that they would do that, or at
least attempt to do that.
Personally, I don't believe in being anyone's victim.
That's just me though.
I guess it's each individual's choice how they're willing to go down, or for what.

@KKGator I have seen the number of matte/tactical black consumer trucks increase locally over the last three years... some of which had blue lives matter or the thin blue line flag on them.

I agree with your sentiment.

@domos When they hit, and I'm not even going to say "if", there are going to be a lot of people who are going to be caught by surprise. Most people cannot even conceive of the
eventuality. It's been building for a while, no question.
I'm certain it's coming. Wish I were wrong, don't think I am.

tRump only cares about the top 1% rich people and himself.

I suspect he doesn't actually care about the top 1% but finds them to be the closest vehicle to him achieving what he wants. If he no longer had a purpose for them - or if there were a better benefit elsewhere - he would turn on them in a heartbeat. He only cares about himself.

Trump's only use for the Constitution is to wipe his ass with it as he dismantles democracy for the sake of personal gain and his own ego gratification. So clearly the answer is no.

If you're pro Trump you are anti American by action, especially if you refuse to believe it..

NOPE! More than that I question their sense of ethics and morality. There are a hand full of folks I used to associate with whom I no longer do for those two reasons.

The question is not about what Republicans believe. Trump is not loyal to the United States Constitution. It's possible for people who have reasons to support him who are by no means against the constitution. If civil rights and the constitution are top priority for them, no it's impossible to vote for Trump. If they do, they're a fraud.

But I'm curious, how can someone be loyal to the Constitution and support Trump/theocrats who are not? What possible interest could someone who values loyalty to the Constitution have that could make them the extremist right-wing agenda?

@domos Misguided, lifelong Republican, I don't question people's motivation. I just hopeJoe Biden can win. In retrospect I wish Romney had won in 2012. He would be a lame duck and would've done the right thing during this pandemic. Hundred of thousands of lives could've been saved.

@barjoe I've thought of your response even more, I cannot imagine out a scenario in which somebody can support Trump and not actively be against the United States Constitution.
