If you could only choose one, know when you will die or manner of death?

I definitely would rather know when, not how. I work and play better with a deadline. I could prepare, by organizing my belongings and finances, and I wouldn't take any gigs after a particular date.

I don't want to know how. I hope to be happy and healthy without a worry, all the way up to the date of death, by continuing healthy habits along with my few vices that make me happy.

I have an even more enigmatic question for you. Suppose you choose to know the manner of death, and it is some cancer that kills you slowly and painfully, and you decide that you are not going to let that happen, so you go for euthanasia, how would you die the manner of death that your prediction had forecast for you?

I want to know how vs when.

Quick please

Neither.

Probably when as the how is already somewhat known

I’m not sure I’d want to know either if possible. Knowing one would likely provide at least some clues for the other depending on the timing or cause. If I was cursed to know one, the when would be my choice. I might even try to cheat the reaper and go out early on my own terms, but that would be cheating.

When...

What if has already been chosen for you, the year and time frame, just not the actual day or time?

When. Because it seems absurd to know the time when you also know you can instantly make it untrue.

Well not down to the minute but more like the year of death

I need a reality based question rather than a hypothesis.
