At what point do you unfriend Facebook friends who are continually posting shit that isn’t true? This morning, a friend of nearly 40 years posted a meme that says Facebook will no longer allow posting of the Lord’s Prayer and posts the prayer. My friend is a good person, but she posts this stuff constantly. I no longer call her out for it because it’s obvious that won’t stop her. For the time being, I’ve unfollowed her because everything she posts gives me a fucking headache.

I just block the source of their meme. That way I can still see family events, but everything they political or religious is blocked.

Most of the time, rather than confront those directly, and because I'm fairly sure it would do little if any good,.....I am content is finding the truthful information and posting it from as many sources as I can find.....the ones I really like are those that say, on the very site they are getting the mis-informstion from, that they are satirical, and anyone believing them should have their head examined.

I just unfollow them, then am very careful not to react to anything they post, even if they tag me. I turned tagging off too, so i have to approve a tag. I have relatives that are complete opposites of me, but I still want to know what is going on in the family. Before you respond to something that makes you mad, wait several hours, if you still feel like you need to respond, wait a few more. Arguing on facebook is like trying to teach a pig to sing, it is a waste of time.

I've felt that way several times in the past year or so, as these are extraordinary times, but it's mostly been for political reasons. I even unfriended my SIL. I tend to be very tolerant of religious viewpoints, and call them out like you did when they're easily disproved. Perhaps you're just on overload right now. If you can, keep her unfollowed for a month or so and then see if she still irritates you as much. If so, it may be time to unfriend her, or at least have a conversation with her about why it bothers you. You need to take care of you first.

I unfriended my BIL....he posted an obvious lie, me and another friend of his pointed it out to him. He blamed us for something....See Ya Later !! (My sister already unfriended me for pointing out her hypocrisy. I didn't even mention the hate ....)

I wouldn't be on Facebook if you paid me!

IDK, until I can't take it anymore? I do warn people, but they generally don't care. Even supposedly intelligent people shit on truth

Try posting Satan's prayer, etc.

[m.facebook.com]

Then claim that Facebook will no longer allow this to be posted and ask your friends to share the "hell" out of it!

@DaisyMaeNot Not if you held up a burning cross, reminded them that Satan is an archangel too, and then threatened to curse their souls to burn for eternity in Satan's centrally heated home.

@DaisyMaeNot Rare, medium or well done?
