The Catch 22 for highly intelligent people who want to date other intelligent people.

Since 2014 I've realized I'm androgyne (mixed gender traits), as most high IQ, creative people are.
My kids are even higher IQ than I am. We have something in common; we all think we're more intelligent than everyone else. We are always right. We look down on others who disagree, usually not bothering to argue with them, because we don't think it's worth it.

None of us are particular interested in marriage and kids. I just had mine to please my mom.

My 160 IQ son was contradicting me and pointing out my mistakes since he was in diapers (and he was right), and pointing to the answers in encyclopedias to refute me since he was five.

I thought I had the rudest, most obnoxious kids on the planet. But my siblings are almost as bad..all of them exceptionally high IQ, and also androgynous.

I was horrified to find that many people on this forum behave this way as well. I think I hoped being androgynous didn't always translate into being rude but I might be wrong.

My dream was to find an intelligent, talented companion who was still kind and patient, but I might have to go to the cis hetero side to find that.
Statistically, the people at the far ends of the gender trait scales..the most "macho men" and femme" girls have the lowest IQs, but are the most successful at sustaining long-term relationships and producing progeny.

The studies showed that as the gender scale slides more toward the center, toward androgyny, the IQ rates typically rise.
But these people are usually more concerned with their careers and inventing things to worry much about procreation, and most of them can't sustain a long term relationship due to nobody being willing to yield to the wishes of the other.

By the way, if you troll me, I'll just block you.

The creative mind is usually androgyne

I did research on gender issues for years, read a pile of gender books on Kindle, read science feed links, visited gender issue forums, etc. To my dismay, at androgyne dating sites, most members seemed perfectly satisfied with being single and only having friends.

I am the same way. I only miss having a companion in that I want a dance and hiking partner, as going alone into remote wilderness areas is dangerous..I was mugged in 2014 while out birding near the beach south of Songkhla, nearly killed, all my camera gear stolen. A tall, muscular companion, like my ex, would have been preferable.

My ex, although he much later came out as nonbinary female, was a wonderful, fun companion. I keep wishing I could have my cake and eat it too..I could be with an intelligent, fit, fun person who is able to sustain a relationship. That would include me, since I'm as picky and difficult as the others.

DNA, chromasomes, gender dysmorphia, early imprinting, pre natal exposure, cultural imperatives are some of the catalysts for gender identification. The topic is intriguing. I find it fascinating.

I'll just shoot my opinion in here and you may not like it but here goes. I have studied neuroscience professionally and I don't really believe in IQ scores. It doesn't measure a lot of intelligence people may have such as linguistic, artistic, and knowledge that is picked up outside of a standard classroom upbringing. Therefore, it is biased towards those who are good traditional students. There is nothing wrong with being a good traditional student as I am but I just choose to be aware of the bias. You probably completely don't agree and I understand that but what I just shared is my opinion on the topic.

Second, I think you can be an entirely normal woman and be into manly things. I got my motorcycle license and rode a sportbike for a while, I did trail races where I regularly beat men who in other contests would beat me hands down and I am in the sciences which is a low woman representation field. I don't think that makes me Androgynous or have any incling towards actually being a man. I live freely and luckily in my country of origin can practice any sport, liesure, or profession that I want be they male or female dominated. When I choose to begin a relationship with a man I share my activities as normal and express that it's who I am.

A potential partner can choose to accept who I am or not but it doesn't necessarily say anything about my gender or gender preferences. It says that I am an individual who does not live in a traditional box. I can wear a beautiful dress to dinner and later suit up and ride a motorcycle or wear a men's style suit and later bathe in a feminine bikini. It's just about being a person and living the life you choose. If a man doesn't accept who I am and wants a woman who lives in a box that's fine. There are many men in this world who love a woman who isn't afraid to live outside a gender role box and encourage them to do so as well.

A lot here I agree with. It is more about the size of reference frame each individual articulates, than level of IQ for me. Regardless of IQ, we are differentiated from other fauna by something we woefully under use.

I look at the brain as what tries to make sense of the 'landscape' and the heart as a compass.

Trail races as in hare scrambles or foot races?

@WileEQuixote Foot races but hare scrambles sound fun.

@ThereIsADog they are!
Brutal, but fun.
Finishing is an achievement.
