Well, it seems my nephew, Henry's sense of humour and timing has gone to the next stage.
Just got off the phone with his Mum telling me how he managed to embarrass her in the middle of the Supermarket about an hour ago.
As Henry and Naomi were going through quite busy Vegetables and Fruits Department, young Henry, quite a good reader for his age stopped at one display and shouted loudly to his mother, " Mum, you said you wanted a leak, you can have one here."
When a red-faced Naomi looked, there was Henry standing and pointing at the Leeks on display and wearing his usual innocent but cheeky grin.
Your family sounds like fun. Urine good company
Actually we are not related by either blood nor marriage but they ARE my family as far as I am concerned and in their opinions as well.
What remains of my blood related family I had chosen to sever ALL contact with about 15+ years ago after they stated that " I did nothing for either them nor my daughter when my daughter, Lorrae, was battling Lymphatic cancer in 2000-2001."
I don't what exactly they'd call being at Lorrae's side 24/7 from January, 2000 to January, 7th. 2001when she lost her fight to live at the tender age of 16.
But Henry's Mum, Naomi has no siblings, Henry's Dad has only a sister, Samantha, a real riot of a person and personality I might add, and is in a Same-Sex Marriage where both partners now have a child of their own as well.
Naomi was a good school friend of Lorrae, Naomi lost her Mum to cancer, after battling it for 20 years +, when Henry was just 3 years old so when Henry arrived on the scene I was kindly asked to be his one and only Uncle which, in their words, " Made me a family member as well."
You can guess how my eyes became clouded over with tears of joy and honour upon hearing that.
And you can even get away with it in public!
