I was born in Georgia, and largely raised in Florida. For most of my life, I seldom mentioned my Georgia roots due to the racism and backward politics of the state. Today, I am proud of what is happening in Georgia, but deeply ashamed of the increasing political and moral regression of the political culture in Florida. Florida can and must show some sense and moral backbone for a change.
