Random thoughts brought about snow fever:
Double beds are much smaller than queen beds.
PhDs do not make people better teachers.
I never did care much for the Rolling Stones and still don't.
People who accept mediocrity in all things do so because they are mediocre and it is too damned hard to be an independent thinker or a thinker at all.
Gilgamesh is the man!
There is one extant copy of Beowulf. Think of all the literature we have lost due to book burnings, purges of language conquerors, or they were told orally. the way, eradication of language is one way conquerors strip indigenous peoples of their identity, and that includes the Anglo-Saxons (though they were not native to England) and the Welsh.
Humans will be extinct someday. The earth will not care.
The Romantics were wrong about nature.
Lovecraft and his peers were racist and sexist.
There's more, but I'll stop there.
There will probably never be a war between humans and robots, as in S.F., because we will degenerate so far, that in the end the robots will just have to stop feeding us, when they get fed up.
@Gwendolyn2018 Possibly yes.
Poets who can write good poetry, usually can't read it well. ( No make that authors in general.)
@Gwendolyn2018 Ok change usually to often. Much safer to employ and actor.
@Gwendolyn2018 No sorry, I was not plain, I meant the painful businss of listening to someone trying to articulate, when they are only there because they wrote it. Writting and reading being too none overlapping skills. LOL
@Gwendolyn2018 Beautiful.
Fair enough I can live with those.
The Mayans were one of the few native American peoples with a written language, they had a vast store of literature. Thousands of books, some say tens of thousands, on everything from plant lore and agriculture to legends to maths and astronomy. The R.C. church destroyed all but three, which they did not find.
Seems like snow fever unlocks your verbalization.
