Planning my garden this year. I have a ' section of a brick wall that I will be working in, it faces south, no shade. The back row, will have Sunflowers, then a row of mixed colors Gladiolas, then Golden Cosmos, down in front, pots of mixed colors Snapdragons and Moss Roses. Rows from tallest to smallest these all do well in the high heat of OK and of course I'll still have my Roses and Tomatoes on the other side of my front door.
Are you planning a garden or plantings?
Portulaca are so delightful where there is sun. For shade 'ya can't beat impatiens. I also plant for pollinators & birds. I usually do restoration of habitat & do not have time for annuals. But I prepared the the flower bed along my entrance wall last year anticipating planting annuals this year.
I love Impatiens too but they don't do well here.
That will be colorful
I think it will. And up against the dark red brick they'll show up well.
