I posted this elsewhere, where the controversy may not be appropriate, does the magacult hate Obama because he is black or because he takes pride in being deliberate? Clinton, Senior and Carter were unquestionably intelligent but they wouldn't express admiration for an obscure philosopher or cite the fine points of a legal decision(in public at least). They could have picked any racist but specifically picked a man who alleges to be smarter than generals, and doctors but can barely manage a coherent tweet or cite a source, any source to bolster his position.
The post:

"The definition of a free society is a society where it is safe to be unpopular."
Adlai Stevenson
Personally, he wished for a country where you could be erudite, intellectual and not automatically unpopular.

The fact that he was Black and in power really galled the MAGA bunch. They are racist to the core.

They are ignorant sheep without the resources (intelligence, empathy, foresight, compassion, education, etc.) to be decent human beings.

"The fanatic is perpetually incomplete and insecure. He cannot generate self-assurance out of his individual resources - out of his rejected self - but finds it only by clinging passionately to whatever support he happens to embrace. This passionate attachment is the essence of his blind devotion and religiosity, and he sees in it the source of all virtue and strength - He easily sees himself as the supporter and defender of the holy cause to which he clings. And he is ready to sacrifice his life." - Eric Hoffer
