Texas Republicans will not learn. Most are white and the ones who will be turning blue are people of color. White Texas Republicans do not care about people of color, only themselves.

I think it's a question of demographics. Hispanic population will eventually be large enough to turn Texas blue, someday. As far as republican voters getting fed up, they never learn.
