Nothing wrong with Belgian beer... always a good choice!!!
do u guys have beer belly"s?
I'm working on getting rid of mine.
No, I have fallen chest muscles!!!
Good stuff I drank this back in my days..........As well as some of the Flanders Gourmet Ales, Palm Ale is one that comes to mind. The Flanders Gourmet Flavored beers and ales were especially good.
I did a Trappist beer tour when I was living in the NL. Westmalle, Orval, Rochefort, Chimay, Westvleteren, Achel, and La Trappe. Good stuff!
@OldMetalHead I remember back in the 80s the Saint Bernardus was called Saint Sixtus. There were 3 delis in Manhattan that sold these ales and beers, so many and were among the finest around along with Britain’s Bass Ale and Newcastle Ale. Britain, Belgium and Scotland were definitely notable for their Ales!!
@OldMetalHead lucky thing!
My local Belgian brewery has a Dubbel at 6.5%. They are religious so you won't see a 6.66 from them. They do make a Tripel at 9% and a Quadruppel at 10.5%.
Which brewery? Thinking of Canadian breweries, I do love La Fin du Monde from Unibroue.
