I'm guessing it is a 'battle' between "factory/big-business" farming vs "family" farming.

@FearlessFly From what I have read it seems it is more about misinformation and a rushed process in drafting the laws. The implementation is being delayed now, if I understand correctly. The smart thing to do at this time is reinforce to the farmers the ways the new laws can be beneficial to the farming economy. Maybe government needs to also help facilitate the privitazation that HAS been successful thus far through co-ops by creating programs that help build these groups among the farmers. Also encourage education among the farmers. If there is uncertainty, of course the people who are struggling the most will be fearful of change. The timing of pandemic is too not working in anyone's favor (well maybe certain billionaires and a lot of the tech industry can say it's working in their favor).
