The world has no idea of how serious the Covid situation in India is while the current government is hiding the true infection and fatality numbers. Sports stadiums are full without masks to watch cricket games. Festivals, political rallies of thousands of people gathering breathing on each other are going on everywhere.

In fact, the government really would not know how to even count real covid numbers. A lot of deaths don't even get certified, let alone certificates with the right diagnoses and death causes. Records are still kept on paper registers in hospitals. A lot of people die at home.
