When I was first married we lived in an apartment that had an incinerator in the basement. It was wonderful, the only thing I can burn was hairspray cans. Does anyone have an incinerator anymore?

I’m guessing they were outlawed everywhere. A lot of trash is toxic to burn, more trash is plastic at this point and even more toxic. Large electric generating incinerators use sophisticated scrubbers and cleaner to take care of the toxins and collect recyclable materials after they burn. Private building incinerators could never afford that.

I have to wonder if Oklahoma has outlawed them since we don't seem to mind dirty.

We had an incinerator (suburb of Mpls), until they were 'outlawed' (early 60's) -- IIUC, pollution.

Is that what happened to your husband?

Lol.o but if I had known how worthless my first one was was going to be I might have tried to put him in the chute.

Not really he was just a bad fit.
