He created new controversy around Florida's new election laws Thursday, by giving exclusive access to the signing ceremony to Fox News and barring other media outlets from covering the event. Numerous political observers and writers are comparing DeSantis's methods to those employed by Josef Stalin and Adolf Hitler to solidify political power.
