As I've gotten older and had time to reflect on the past, I haven't realized how much I miss slow dancing. The dark lighting, the romantic song, wearing classy clothes... It would have been much more memorable if I had a partner.

I love the classic slow dance songs. I always thought if I had a fancy wedding reception I'd want the torch songs and the romantic songs like "Someone to Watch Over Me" to slow dance to. Not that I can dance... or have any intentions of having a wedding.

Give me some Mantovani and someone willing to put up with me, and I would dance for at least ten minutes.

@Holysocks Mantovani? You're showing your age there?
Mind you, Edmundo Ross would be even more telling!

@Petter
I'm not all that old. I just had a grandmother with good taste in music, and I didn't get out at all.

@Holysocks I, on the other hand, clearly recall Mantovani and Edmundo Ross in their hey-day.
