That is not a real word. But if it were, I’d totally be one.

If scientism was the descriptive noun of a state of being/emotion would it be a descriptive, permanent and overarching characteristic like "organism", or would it be temporary and contingent experience like "orgasm"? In other words "Would you be a scientism, or do you have a scientism?" 🙂

“The Cosmos is all that is or ever was or ever will be.” –Carl Sagan, Cosmos. Although, I personally prefer the use of scientific methodology to decipher the unknown.

The roots are a little different than common usage nowadays. It has become an attempt by religious people to put their theistic beliefs on equal ground with science. But it was coined in philosophy for a different purpose.
