Critical race theory I have not a lot of respect for this journalist but he does often make good points. In 1999 I saw a discovery channel show mentioning that science has determined there is no such thing as race and I accept that fact. Yet, as usual, an extremist party is, once again, saying science is wrong. ”For the record, critical race theory originated over 30 years ago among legal scholars; it holds that race is a social – not a scientific – construct and offers a framework for understanding the role of systemic racism in the law and in legal institutions. It is taught, if at all, in law school – not high school.”

Anyone who's studied the evolution of humans must know there's no such thing as ''race.'' It's absolutely a construct based on tribalism. Now, having said that...I could probably be accused of unconscious racism.

There is such a thing as tribes. Even though race is not real racism is.

@JackPedigo I thought that's what I said, Jack. "Race" doesn't exist....it's all tribalism. Fear/dislike of ''the other'' is behind it all.

@LucyLoohoo Yes, you did. It just seems strange something that doesn't exist can still elicit strong feelings. Sort of like religion.

@JackPedigo Exactly! And the ''boogie man'' and we can't forget SATAN!
