What irritates me just as much as the matter of being inconsiderate is the added risk. The bigger the petri dish Covid has, the more likely it is to spawn a far more deadly strain. We could keep this virus down to an endemic risk instead of an eternal plague, but we would need everyone to make an effort.

Yes, those whining about their "freedoms" don't understand that by walking around un-vaxxed and un-masked, they are trampling on the freedoms of the vulnerable people who would be safe going out in public (with proper safety protocols) if it wasn't for them. They are the ones complaining about not wanting another lockdown (in my area) but refusing to be part of the solution. Mind boggling.

The hospitals in my state have finally reached their maximum capacity and because of the unvaccinated needing hospitalization for covid, many of our residents can't get their prescribed surgeries done. We have a breast cancer patient who had to postpone her mastectomy due to no hospital beds, and others telling their stories on the news, and do they have a right to blame the anti-vaxxers? Yes, in my opinion, they do!

Thank you, this is a reality most never consider. We also have a reality that all the stupidity is bankrupting our meager health care system. We don't need tRump to screw things up, we're doing very well ourselves (I mean them not us).

In the UK, where we are a little further down the line with vaccine, they just released a stat that 90% of the people now in intensive care with covid, are now vaccine avoiders.

These people are not only stupid and self centred and at the very least likely to get seriously ill themselves or die from their own deluded notions..that would all be ok if it only affected them. As we know of course, people like your sister who are at high risk medically are also likely to be affected by their stupidity by taking up beds and the attention of medical staff, and that is unforgivable. I do hope your sister manages to keep clear of COVID and gets the treatment she requires when she needs it.

Anti-vaxxers are a special breed, and I don't understand them. They need to be on a separate island somewhere.
