One of those funny/not funny cartoons. Just think of all the good things we could do with the wasted money we spend on the military.No one is going to attack us with a conventional army. Geography is our friend. If they attack us it will be with nuclear weapons and all of that other shit will be as effective as a spear or throwing rocks. We need a strong military, but ours is wasteful.

It is interesting that when Ron Paul, father of Rand Paul, ran for the Presidency he presented a balanced budget that closed all our foreign bases and brought the troops home.

The USA spends so much money on defense because we have troops in so many foreign bases. Maybe the solution is to bring all our soldiers home and just defend our territory. Other countries don't have a multitude of foreign bases. We seem to be sticking our nose in every other countries business and we fail to make a difference but just waste money and lives.
