The colour red is often associated with evil and the devil.
Is that why cardinals wear it?

Strange lol
anyways if you drive a red car in South Africa, you generally pay more in insurance premium 🤷♀️. This even if the red car is not a sports car. I'm not an actuary but I don't know how they figure this one out. Is It punishment? 😂
...and No, I don't drive a red car 😅

Red paint suffers in strong sunlight, and red roofs get very hot.
My cars in Spain are always a light, metallic silver.
My present car.

@Petter cars are covered for accident, theft, third party or hail and storm damage etc in South Africa. Paint defects or peeling caused by heat is for the insured's own cost. I'm saying a red vehicle shouldnt warrant additional premium costs 😊

@TimeOutForMe agreed. I was merely pointing out that red is not a good choice anyway.

I always thought it was a way to recognize a wayward woman. I'm pretty sure many of those Cardinals are wayward as well.

So do you shun the colour, or wear it as your whim sees fit? 😁

@Petter I've always preferred cool colors but not because of the connotation.

@Gwendolyn2018 In Spain, the "red light district" is actually green. 'Blue movies" are called green, and a dirty old man is "un hombre verde".

@Lorajay So you're pretty cool, eh?
Great.

@Gwendolyn2018 I've never worked it out. Nowadays, with so much "culture" influx, many so called "clubs", quite legal in Spain, provided you declare your income to the tax office, have bright displays of both red and green neon lights on their outside walls.
