Why is it that when one is out for a nice stroll around the town checking out how other peoples gardens are handling this always changing weather you get a tiny bit of a stone that decides to jump into your shoe, feels like it a bloody great mountain, makes you stop look around for a safe place to sit, take off your shoe and scrabble aroud in your sweaty shoe for 5 or more minutes until you find it.
Then, right in the middle of it, someone comes along, and because you are sitting on the kerb with one shoe in your, they suddenly decide that you are either as drunk as a skunk, homeless and dirty or a ne'er-do-well checking out the neighbourhood for a chance to rob a house or something and they call the cops?
Blimey, it took about minutes of talking to the cops to explain that the paper bag I was carrying contained a pair of garden secateurs, some cuttings from a few plants that were overhanging fences and a few seed pods gathered from native trees, bushes and a group of Sturts Desert Peas growing on the footpath.
Jeez Louise, I even had to show them my ID, that I had in my wallet, a current Drivers License AND a current Address as well BEFORE they admitted that I was detained WITHOUT reason.
At least the up-side is that they offered to give me a ride back home, which I declined saying that I had NOT finished enjoying my walk as yet.

Huh, who knew you look so suspicious?

I really think people, as well as cops are over-stepping.

At least they didn’t throw you on the ground and put a knee on your neck for ten minutes.

Thankfully that cop didn't get off.

He's white........

No BUT I got the impression they wanted to Strip Search me and then "run me" in anyway.
I think them seeing my card STATING that I AM a Justice of the Peace, a J.P., with over 25 years standing in the Community may just have changed their minds suddenly and very abruptly.
