Lots of panhandling going on these days. In the little town where I work a man has been seen for about 2 weeks now holding a sign at intersections. The sign reads "stranded - hungry children." To me this means he was too dumb to know he did not have enough money for gas, food, and lodging before him and his children attempted the trip.
Maybe they are living in their vehicle...there is a LOT of that right now. I would attempt go gather more information, rather than pass judgement. A lot of people need help these days.
I'm not passing judgement, I am reporting facts. I drive for a living and everyone has seen this man for over 2 weeks with his dumb sign. None of us have seen a vehicle or "them" in any way. People I work with that drive for a living keep tabs on this and sometimes you see the same person panhandling in another town close by.
well, my mind works like that too, but any number of things could have happened i guess
Apparently I ticked MsKathleen off and I no longer see her comment nor my reply. To engage this again let me say that I drive delivery for a living and all of us drivers see people and signs like this very often. Sometimes we drive in other towns and see the same people and signs. Rather than work these people panhandle.
@DenoPenno
I see the same people all the time. One would show up on the street every few days and have his kid begging, then he would take the money and come into my store to buy a bottle. Too bad he wasted his and his child's time standing outside in 95 degrees. I see way too many panhandlers attempt to ply their trade near my store and even more help wanted signs all over the city.
