Physical pain imo. I'd rather live with grief than a metal pole stuck in my middle.

Emotional pain. But, severe physical pain (such as from the trigheminal nerve) can put a person into a fetal position.

Physical pain. Emotional? I can scape them off. Grief. That's another thing.

It all depends on the severity of each just like anything else. Either one, if severe enough, will result in suicide, so at that point, how can you make a good argument one is worse than the other?

The worst physical pain I've ever experienced was a kidney stone about 15 years ago. It was the only time in my adult life that I was yelling out from the pain. But eventually pain medication helped and the pain eventually went away. It was very unpleasant but I know I could endure it again if I had to.

The worst emotional pain I've ever had was about 12 years ago when I became severely depressed. At times I felt horrifically sad and at other times incredibly angry. This continued for months and was the worst time of my entire life.

So, for me, emotional pain is far worse.

I cannot believe this is even a question....have you ever experienced either?

Yes, several times in my life.

Physical pain heals and can be managed with pain meds in many cases. Emotional pain can potentially last decades — and even a lifetime. I don’t think that, in general, there’s any question.
