I’ve been to the cinema this evening to see the long-awaited/delayed James Bond movie, No Time To Die. This is the last outing of Daniel Craig in the 007 role and as he’s grown into the role I’ve become quite fond of his Bond persona and am sad that we won’t see him in the role again. I really enjoyed watching the film…it was a long watch..2 hours 38 minutes…but despite others rubbishing it I liked it, and feel I can recommend it to you. Some of the scenery, especially in Sicily and Norway is quite spectacular too.

I think Craig is the best of all the Bonds.

Yes…he grew on me, but I’ll always have a soft spot for the first one..Sean Connery. - and he, like me, was born in Edinburgh.

Gone back to one of the early Aston Martins I see.

Yes…such a classy car.

@Marionville Yes, machine guns, ejection seats and all.

I never pay attention to the reviews by “experts”; prefer reviews from people I know. When “Home Alone” came out, they ALL panned. My son was just the right age, so I took him to see it…hadn’t laughed that hard since “The Pink Panther”. I am 100% willing to suspend disbelief for an entertaining movie, especially a comedy or romance. I suspect Bond movies now have more violence than I am able to take in, however.

It wasn’t especially violent…I see worse on many TV series!

@Marionville Good to know. I do not watch violence on television, either.

Time for him to move on. At the rate they make them he'd be pushing 60 for the next one, as Roger Moore was in his last, and even Moore regretted his last two bonds saying he thought he was too old. Funny to remember that Connery was 41 at his last Bond, Diamonds are Forever in 1971 (ignoring the 1983 Never say Never, almost a spoof), and he and others thought that was pushing it. The last Craig Bond one was a bit of a mess at the end. We'll see about this one.

This one is really a follow-on from the last one, Spectre. The ending does throw up questions…but whatever happens Craig has declared himself retired from the role.

Cannot wait to see it. Wonder who is going to be the next Bond.

Ah…that is the question on everyone’s lips!

Chose me ... chose me.

@jlynn37 Okay,. I vote for you.

I love, classic Bond.

I’m a big Bond fan too.

2

I'm anxious to see it. I love the Bond movies.

I think you’ll enjoy it then.

Gone are the days of Sean Roger Moore and Pierce....Craig for a last name seems something of a self punishing sadist in the 2 BONDs I saw....with digital and DreamWorks BONDs will be greater and greater one man army spy heroes
