Two days ago on highway I-44 at 2:15 PM I saw an OTR truck from Hurricane Express openly flying a "Fuck Biden" flag at the back of the trailer. This is in mid Missouri. Once I arrived home I called them. My simple question was did they think this was appropriate. "Of course not," the man said. I then went into the trouble something like this would cause. It is against your corporate model and you will lose business. Someone is always of an opposite opinion and you lose business by having your transport company display anything political. It does not matter if you like Trump, the GOP, or you want to have people vote for any candidate. You cannot fly those flags either. These things cost you and you lose business.
My advice was to find their man, educate him and reprimand him, then put him back to work. I was assured that they would take care of it but so far I have no e-mail followup. Today I decided to post it here in case they have forgotten. I will bring these types of things out because first and formost I am a political activist. I'm posting it here simply so it can be known in case they forgot. I did not.
Any comments?
Overnight I thought of my answers to Powder and I have to come back and make one thing clear. The Internet had plenty of "Fuck Trump" memes. That was for sure. What you see on the Internet and what you actually see on vehicles or in yards are two different things. I'm sure there was also flags. None flew in my area. I imagine it was fear. Of course, websites had a field day. Memes everywhere and angry people responding to attacks on their political god.
IF and only if a business owner wishes to advertise partisan sentiments, they are free to do so. It has a place only for those with the courage to put their money where their sentiments are. I like it and cream rises to the top. Some can gain from it and some lose. Their's is the gamble.
