If a stranger who's loudly open carrying walked up to the very front of your car, and stared at you through the windshield for a solid 2 minutes while at the gas pump, what would you do? Having more and more of these odd and tense encounters as of late. What's wrong, Arizona? Youre too uptight for all of this beautiful sunny weather. Relax a little.

Glad I have a dashcam.

Yes. Best not to engage, make mental notes of his description and vehicle, and keep an eye in your rearview mirror and surroundings for the day or so, most likely it's nothing and he was in a zone and hopefully you were not the point of his focus...

Perhaps they were beguiled by your beauty?
As for what I'm assuming was a firearm of some sort, that may be unconnected due to pretending to be a modern day cowboy being a social norm in AZ.
Here where I live (United Kingdom) we are not allowed to own handguns, and other guns are highly regulated.

I appreciate the perspective, and the flattering compliment. Though, from what I gathered in the moment, his expression and demeanor clued that he wasnt interested in that way. Cant say I'm certain on what his intent actually was since I followed my intuition not to engage.

@summatyme Back to reality for a moment. Why is there a need to arm oneself in public in the USA?
I appreciate that there are areas in America where a person could suddenly find themselves on the menu of a hungry animal, and so bearing arms is a practical activity.
Guns are also fun to shoot, but blasting away in public is dangerous. So keep the weapon locked away until at the range. The same goes for hunting.
I enjoy using a sword for sport, but the notion of wandering down to the shops to get a litre of milk with a sabre on my left hip is extremely silly.
I have still to understand this element of American society.

@Sofabeast I think it boils down to a couple of reasons. Some who open carry usually do so because they feel it's their right, and so they want to make a statement, or send a message to everyone in plain view. Those who carry concealed usually do it for safety, as some areas and situations may be dangerous, and it would be foolish to make it obvious that they have a lethal weapon in critical moments. I agree with another comment that there's way too many guns floating around here. It's become an obsession for some people. So much that they consider it a part of their identity. What was once something generally preservative has become mostly political, and too many casualties have been caught in the middle of that debate.

I'd have run his white ass over, and over..that's a direct threat, and stand your ground should cover it..fuck those lame assed small dicked rethugs..

Yeah, sure, but that would mean cleaning the blood off the front fender, and I am fond of my laziness.

@anglophone fucking men..and their toys..😂😂😂

@Charlene I much prefer the toy at the bottom of my belly rather than anything I need to buy from a shop. 😉

It must be terrifying to live in a country where dangerous mental defectives carry guns.

Tell me about it! We have over 390 million registered handguns in this country; more than one for every man, woman and child.

What does your bumper sticker say? Is it abstract enough to revel in? LOL

🙂 No bumper stickers.

@summatyme I'm curious, what state were you in? Very odd.

I'd pull forward.

best solution, but i was think of turning the little windshield sprayer thingy around and getting his gun wet.

@hankster that does sound like an excellent solution but I don't know how to turn my windshield solution dispenser around.

@Lorajay some don't.
