My grandson Austin Franklin was born at 11:06 am today, weighing almost 8 pounds. Not bad for two weeks early.

Neither parent is exceptionally tall, in fact my daughter is just the same height I am. But it is fun to wonder and awesome to watch them grow.
@HippieChick58 Yes you never know! And that's kind of the fun?
Though the one my sister had that was over 10 lbs (her first) huge!
@RavenCT My first, and the mother of this child was 9 pounds 9 ounces and two weeks late. She was taller than her peers until 5th grade. My second was 9 pounds 6 ounces, 15 days late, and is an inch shorter than her older sister. The third was a scheduled c-section two weeks before her due date and is still the shortest of the three.
