Heads up anyone living from NEBRASKA, NORTH of the 40th Parallel...from Seattle all the way to Long Island, NY ... big Solar Flair this week...with any luck(hope for clear skies)
you will be seeing some NORTHERN LIGHTS...Anyone NORTH OF THE YELLOW LINE...this was a G3 event...article said Saturday and Sunday evening viewing.
I saw them another year but I'll probably take a short drive north to go see.
I used to run I-90 through SD a LOT...if you can get up that far north the view would be spectacular.
@phoenixone1 I'm in Missouri. I'll just go up to the river where I used to live. It's over an hour outside St. Louis
Southern Quebec here. Rainy weekend.
I wonder if, just like the stars, it's harder to see them in an urban area with lots of lights.
Light pollution doesn't help but if they are intense enough you should be able to see them....weather permitting of course...good luck.
I wish I was able to take a trip! It's on my bucket list to see the northern lights- preferably from Scandinavia somewhere- but anywhere would be amazing.
Nova Scotia would be PERFECT for me...Anywhere in northern Europe would be EXCELLENT.
I heard something about this, and from the back of my house I have a good view of the sky to the north. I will be checking it out.
