I agree totally with the sentiment and in no way shape or form condemn or even dislike homosexuals,

However the only problem with using "Jesus never condemned...." as a basic for doctrinal reform in primitive, bigoted barbaric religions is that argument can also be used for slavery, bestiality, child molestation, rape, intellectual property theft (something Jesus did a lot), wife beating, dope smoking, animal cruelty, pornography, etc.
Also in Matthew 5:18 Jesus says all the old testament laws still apply and that he has not come to abolish them, in which case the implication is that the condemnation of Homosexuality as part of that law still carries a death sentence.

All I am saying is you can use the Bible to prove anything you like, it is a self contradictory book of bronze age nonsense.
