They were fine with it so long as we were "leading" with bases that propped up their economies.

@David1955 You don't get me, Dave, and we've established that the discussion isn't worth the attempt to change that. America has no goodness or heart, dude. I'm on record with that. We established bases to make money in their economies and hold power in their governments. Those bases, one on which I served our nation, did prop up economies as well. Yes.
Would propping up their economies include taking oil (unmetered) from Iraq? Would it include bombing the hell out of a country and then selling contracts to rebuild the infrastructure of that country?
